About FACT
FACT supports family violence prevention and treatment and public awareness of this important issue. Family violence includes child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse and neglect. Family Violence impacts not only individual families, but also affects communities and the workplace.FACT and its partners conduct an annual public awareness campaign, "Together Against Violence". This campaign gives local community professionals and organizations helpful materials and information to support community education about all forms of family violence.
Every citizen of the Commonwealth experiences the impact of Family Violence.
That is why, FACT reaches out to all citizens of the Commonwealth to support
Family Violence Prevention and Treatment as well as public awareness of
this serious issue.
Citizens can support FACT and family violence prevention and treatment
by purchasing a KIDS FIRST License Plate and by donating some or all of
their Virginia State Income Tax Refund to FACT.
Your support goes directly to support programs such as:
Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Video targeting teachers and others
working with children; "Open Eyes, Open Arms," a video targeting
middle school children about dating violence; and "Together Against
Violence," statewide family violence public awareness campaign.
